Code of Conduct

Code of Conduct

At RevCon, we want everyone to feel safe, respected, and included. That’s why we have this straightforward set of rules, which applies to all our conferences, events, and forums, whether you’re joining us in person or online.

Who Must Follow This Code?

This Code of Conduct is for everyone at our conferences, events and forums, including attendees, speakers, staff, volunteers, and vendors, whether they're participating in person or virtually.

Basic Expectations

  • Professional Behavior: We expect all participants to act professionally. This means being welcoming to everyone and avoiding behavior that could be seen as demeaning, discriminatory, or harassing.
  • Respect and Consideration: Treat everyone with respect and thoughtfulness. Our goal is to create a friendly and professional environment where everyone can contribute and feel included.

Unacceptable Behavior

Here are examples of what we consider unacceptable behavior at RevCon events, no matter if they occur in person, online, or in any interaction related to the event:

  • Discrimination or harassment based on personal characteristics like race, gender, religion, age, sexual orientation, disability, or any other protected status.
  • Any disruptive behavior.
  • Bullying or making derogatory comments.
  • Threatening, intimidating, or hostile actions.
  • Unwelcome attention or remarks of a sexual nature.
  • Jokes or comments that are offensive or inappropriate.
  • Physical violence or intimidation.
  • Sharing any content or materials that could be hurtful or show bias against any group.
  • Smoking or vaping outside designated areas.
  • Any behavior that doesn't comply with the rules of the venue or local laws.

Online and Virtual Participation

When participating in online events:

  • Don’t share your event link or code with others unless it’s explicitly allowed.
  • Make sure only registered attendees are participating or viewing the event.
  • Avoid actions that disrupt the event or spoil the experience for others.
  • Don’t record or broadcast any part of the event without permission.
  • Choose an appropriate background if your image will be shown.

Reporting Issues

If you face or see behavior that goes against this Code, please report it. For emergencies, get yourself to safety and contact local authorities or event security. For less urgent matters, reach out to a RevCon manager or staff member, or for virtual events, email us at events@storyaz.studio

Handling Reports

When we receive a report, our priority is your safety. We’ll investigate discreetly and take action, which might include:

  • A warning to the person responsible.
  • Removing them from the event.
  • Banning them from future events.
  • Involving law enforcement if necessary.

No Retaliation

It’s against our rules to retaliate against someone who reports a problem. We also expect reports to be made in good faith.

This Code isn’t exhaustive but should give you a good idea of how to act and what to expect at our events. We may update it as needed to make sure our events stay welcoming and safe for everyone.
